GECA Certified – SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR PLANET AND PEOPLE.
DRAIN SOLUTION utilises advanced biologically active ingredients to digest and consume the organic soilage, food scraps and fats found in drains, grease traps and effluent waste systems. Because it removes the “food” for bad-smelling bacteria, DRAIN SOLUTION deodorises pipes and drains that have had a history of bad odours and generating complaints from people using the facilities. DRAIN SOLUTION has a sustained action that keeps it working as long as soilage is present, so it keeps on digesting and un-blocking even after the staff have left the room. DRAIN SOLUTION is not classified as Hazardous according to the criteria of Safe Work Australia.
Key Benefits
- GECA-certified
- Positively stops foul-smelling odours in drain pipes and grease traps
- Keeps on digesting waste matter until the blockage is gone
- Has no adverse effect on surfaces
- Non-hazardous product, so it is safe to use
- Removes odours that attract vinegar flies
How Does It Work?
DRAIN SOLUTION is a carefully formulated, stable, perfumed liquid suspension that contains microorganisms and enzymes. When the product is added to water or drain waste, the bacteria begin to grow and, together with the enzymes, consume the organic waste matter that is present. This matter gets broken down ultimately into carbon dioxide and simple water-soluble molecules. This process stops the growth of bad-smelling bacteria by removing their food supply. This makes DRAIN SOLUTION an excellent odour-prevention agent. It also contains a pleasant perfume for added product appeal.
For Use On…
DRAIN SOLUTION is designed for use in all plumbing systems including septic tanks. It will not damage porcelain, PVC, stainless steel, cast iron, chrome or ceramic pipes and surfaces.
Because DRAIN SOLUTION is biologically active, it must not be mixed with disinfectants, sanitisers, hot water, bleach, caustic or acidic detergents as these materials will de-activate the good bacteria and enzymes that are present and needed for the product to work.
Application
Drains: Shake the bottle of DRAIN SOLUTION well before opening.
- If sanitisers have been used, flush these down the drain first.
- Remove excess water and pour 50 mls of DRAIN SOLUTION directly into the sink or drain opening.
- Add water to activate DRAIN SOLUTION.
- Leave for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight.
- Flush with hot water to remove residues.
- Repeat if necessary.
- We recommend pouring 50 mls into drains once per week to ensure trouble-free drainage outlets.
- Never mix DRAIN SOLUTION with disinfectant, bleach, acidic or caustic substances.
Grease Traps: Shake the bottle of DRAIN SOLUTION well before opening.
- If sanitisers have been used, flush these down the drain first.
- Empty grease trap prior to treatment.
- Initial dosage – add 1.5 litres/m3 (volume of grease trap) directly into the trap.
- Maintenance dosage – Daily dosage to be added into the drain lines upstream – based upon the number of meals daily prepared and served on site:
- 400-500 meals/day: 400 ml/day (minimum dosage rate)
- 800 meals/day: 650 ml/day
- 1000 meals/day: 800 ml/day
- 1500 meals/day: 1.2 l/day
- 2000 meals/day: 1.5 l/day
- DRAIN SOLUTION should be fed into the lines 2 hours after the end of the working day.
